President's Message
It was a very productive year for Ironbridge Charity Group in 2024 and several milestones were accomplished since our inception. We have now raised and donated over $100,000 to individuals and organizations in need throughout our community. We have also exceeded over 2,000 in volunteer hours and increased our total number of organizations or individuals assisted to seventeen.
Our Pickleball Tournament in June was a great day with over 50 players joining us. Our Annual Golf Tournament in September raised over $18,000 for two great organizations, Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and the So Much to Give Inclusive Cafe. We are so thankful to all of the sponsors and participants that made these two events successful.
We continue to try and broaden our reach in the community by actively participating in the Perkiomen Valley Non-Profit Organizations meetings held quarterly and sponsored by the PV Chamber of Commerce. Through our association with this organization, we have learned more about the needs in our community and have added 4 new beneficiaries in 2024 as a result.
As we broaden our reach throughout the Perkiomen Valley, we continue to learn that the need to help continues to grow. Daily Bread Community Food Pantry is serving more families than ever. Just last Saturday alone, they served 57 families. In the past year, PV PowerPacks has seen the number of children served increase by 64% during the school year and almost 300% during the summer months.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to watch and learn how our Perkiomen Valley non-profit organizations, businesses, and individual volunteers come together to support those in need. We truly have a special community. If you would like to learn more on how you might be able to help, please do not hesitate to reach out. We will help you find the path.
We are looking forward to a great 2025. Our first fundraising event will be a Comedy Night on February 1st at the Lower Frederick Fire Company. Doors open at 7:00pm. We will have three great comedians, raffle baskets, and a cash bar. We hope to see you there for a fun night with plenty of laughs. Please visit our website for registration and payment information HERE.
On behalf of the Ironbridge Charity Group Board of Directors and our volunteers, we wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Tom
